About John Pierre
Developer, data analyst, MLH Coach, and CSA President based in Houston, TX.
I'm a developer and data analyst driven by turning complex data into intuitive, impactful software and empowering the next generation of builders. Currently, I serve as a Coach at Major League Hacking (MLH) supporting hackathons worldwide, and as President of the Computer Science Association (CSA) at Houston City College.
My technical background centers on end-to-end ETL data pipelines, relational databases with PostgreSQL, predictive modeling with Python & scikit-learn, and modern web applications built with Astro & TypeScript .
At CSA, I've spearheaded organizational growth, organized hackathons like HackHCC (100+ attendees), led technical workshops, and fostered industry mentorship.
Outside the terminal, I'm an avid rock climber—often found multipitch climbing in Red Rocks, NV or bouldering outdoors. I treat climbing routes the same way I approach software architecture: break down the beta, isolate the crux, and execute methodically.
